VHA health-care system covering Western Washington with two main campuses: Seattle VA Medical Center (1660 S Columbian Way) and American Lake VA Medical Center in Tacoma (9600 Veterans Dr SW). Hub for VA primary care, geriatrics, mental health, and extended care for the Puget Sound region.
VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS) is one of three VHA health-care systems serving Washington veterans. It operates two parent VAMCs (Seattle and American Lake / Tacoma) plus multiple Community-Based Outpatient Clinics. The system delivers comprehensive VA primary, specialty, mental-health, surgical, geriatric, and long-term care to enrolled veterans. Seattle is a major VA tertiary-care hub with an active research program, and American Lake historically operates as a domiciliary and extended-care campus.
