128-bed Medicare/Medicaid-certified state veterans home in Orting, established 1891, the first of Washington's four veterans homes, on 174 acres in the Puyallup Valley. Nursing-home-level care only.
Cost. Veterans rated 70%, 100% Service Connected Disabled, or whose service-connected disability is the reason nursing care is needed, may have nursing home care paid by the federal VA. Also accepts Medicare, Medicaid, third-party insurance, and private pay.
