Washington Prescription Drug Program (WPDP) / ArrayRx Discount Card

Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA)

The Washington Prescription Drug Program (WPDP), administered by the Health Care Authority, provides evidence-based prescription drug guidance to state agencies that purchase drugs on behalf of Washington residents. Through the ArrayRx Solutions multi-state purchasing partnership, WPDP also makes the ArrayRx Discount Card available free to all Washingtonians. The card offers discounts on FDA-approved prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications at a large network of pharmacies, plus two mail-order options (Postal Prescription Services and Costco). It is intended for people without prescription drug coverage, with limited or high-deductible coverage, between insurance plans, or whose insurance does not cover certain drugs/vaccines. Medicare beneficiaries without Part D may use the card; it cannot be combined with insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare pharmacy benefits, or applied to copays. ArrayRx is a multi-state program also serving residents of Oregon, Nevada, Connecticut, and Arizona.

Who qualifies

All Washington State residents are eligible to sign up for the digital ArrayRx card. There are no age or income restrictions. Cardholder name and date of birth must match the prescription at the pharmacy.

What it covers

Discounts on FDA-approved prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications at participating retail pharmacies and via mail order (Postal Prescription Services, Costco). At point of sale, the user chooses whichever gives the better price, the ArrayRx card or their insurance.

Cost

Free to enroll and use. The card itself does not cost anything; users pay the discounted cash price at the pharmacy. Cannot be combined with insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare pharmacy benefits, and cannot be used for insurance copays. Drug-manufacturer rebate contracts do not apply to drugs purchased with the discount card.

How to apply

Enroll online at arrayrxcard.com to receive a digital discount card. Provide first name, last name, email, date of birth, and home address with zip code (required to verify Washington residency). Existing members can log into the ArrayRx Member Dashboard.
