The state bar association regulates Washington attorneys and publishes the public-facing Find Legal Help directory linking residents to CLEAR, county lawyer referral services, and self-help resources.
The Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) is the licensing and regulatory body for attorneys in Washington. While WSBA does not itself provide legal advice or referrals to private attorneys, it maintains a public Find Legal Help portal that points residents to free and reduced-fee legal resources, including the CLEAR and CLEAR*Sr hotlines, county-bar Lawyer Referral Services, Limited License Legal Technicians (LLLTs), and self-help court resources. WSBA also hosts member sections, including the Elder Law Section, that organize CLE programming and policy work on legal issues affecting older adults.
