WhidbeyHealth Hospice is the hospice program of WhidbeyHealth, the Island County public hospital district, headquartered in Coupeville and serving patients across Whidbey Island from Oak Harbor to Clinton. The program serves individuals with end-stage illness whose physician has determined a life expectancy of six months or less. Care is delivered in patients' homes, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, and includes all medications, services, and equipment needed for patient comfort, plus bereavement and grief support for up to 13 months. The program is Medicare-certified, so Medicare patients pay no cost for hospice services. Licensed by the Washington Department of Health, license #00000323, based in Island County.
