Northwest Justice Project

Statewide nonprofit civil legal aid organization providing free legal help to low-income Washingtonians, including older adults via the CLEAR*Sr senior legal hotline.

Northwest Justice Project (NJP) is Washington's largest publicly funded civil legal aid program. NJP staff attorneys and paralegals provide free legal services to low-income people across all 39 counties in cases involving housing, family safety, public benefits, consumer issues, and elder rights. NJP operates the CLEAR (Coordinated Legal Education, Advice and Referral) intake hotline for low-income Washingtonians and the dedicated CLEAR*Sr hotline for people age 60 and over. NJP also hosts the Greenfield Elder Law Internship in partnership with the WSBA Elder Law Section.

Cost. Free civil legal aid for income-eligible Washington residents (generally at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level).
