Volunteer-run Filipino Senior Meals Program operating from the Wapato Filipino Community Hall in the Lower Yakima Valley. Every Thursday the program prepares free authentic Filipino lunches such as chicken adobo, pancit, rice, vegetable stir fry, and lumpia, cooked with reduced salt, available for pickup or home delivery for seniors 65 and older, adults with disabilities, and veterans. Volunteer drivers also provide social check-ins. The program serves 40 plus clients weekly and has expanded to include Filipino, Hispanic, Native American, and veteran community members in Yakima County, Washington.
