The Cost of Care Survey is an annual private-sector survey conducted by Genworth and CareScout (a Genworth subsidiary). The 2025 edition contacted long-term care providers nationwide and reported state and metropolitan-statistical-area medians. Washington's 2025 medians exceed national medians in every reported category. The survey is used by financial planners, insurers, and policymakers; it is reference data, not a service that consumers apply to.
