Genworth/CareScout Cost of Care Survey, Washington

The Cost of Care Survey is an annual private-sector survey conducted by Genworth and CareScout (a Genworth subsidiary). The 2024 edition contacted more than 140,000 long-term care providers nationwide and completed more than 15,000 surveys for nursing homes, assisted living communities, adult day health facilities, and home care providers between July and December 2024. Results are reported as state and metropolitan-statistical-area medians. Washington's 2024 medians exceed national medians in every reported category. The survey is used by financial planners, insurers, and policymakers; it is reference data, not a service that consumers apply to.
