WA Adult Family Home Building Inspection Program

WA DSHS Home and Community Living Administration (Residential Care Services)

DSHS and the Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) keep the Adult Family Home Building Inspection Checklist. Local building officials use it to inspect these homes for a license and for recertification. The page points operators and consumers to the updated checklist, which took effect March 2024, and to a 'Find Your Local Building Official' lookup.
