Caregiver Training (WA HCLA)

HCLA's caregiver training resources connect unpaid family caregivers to educational seminars, conferences, and workshops, including Powerful Tools for Caregiving, a series developed for family members caring for someone with a chronic illness, teaching self-care tools, communication strategies, ways to deal with difficult feelings, and how to make tough caregiving decisions. Local Family Caregiver Support Programs offer additional training and educational opportunities.

Unpaid family caregivers in Washington State.
What it covers
Educational seminars, workshops, and the Powerful Tools for Caregiving curriculum; access to AARP online seminars and other resources.
Cost
Training offered through the Family Caregiver Support Program is generally free or low cost; AARP online seminars are free.
